The greeting bell for the nordic skier in the 2006 American Birkebeiner is in a "ready" position--------10:10AM on Lake Hayward and the Jan & Harold Treland cheering station. 2-25-06

The men's Elite Wave of nordic skiers left the Start Line at Mt. Telemark at 8:10AM---this cheering station on Lake Hayward is about 30 miles down the race trail and the finish line in downtown Hayward. 2-15-06

Our gang is gathering and we will be in force to cheer all the nordic skiers in the 2006 American Birkebeiner. 2-25-06

This is the newly acquired rescue air boat in position on Lake Hayward. The air boat is staffed by trained police officiers and the Volunteer Ski Patrols from all around the country are a part of the medcial support team involved in this worold recognized sports event.

These two Italian nordic skiers were the leaders most of the 33rd 51K American Birkebeiner 2006 and the first to enter onto Lake Hayward shortly before 10:30am with 3K remaining to the finish line in downtown Hayward. 2-25-06
